As a small business we are in a unique position of being able to dictate our path to success. This path includes many different business decisions that help to streamline our every day processes. One of the decisions that we made early on when we first opened our doors was to use Square as our credit card processing system. I am writing this today not to be an official review and certainly not as a paid advertisement for the company, but simply as a business owner very satisfied with this product.
As business owners we are constantly contacted by different vendors for a multitude of reasons, and I have to say, there are a ton of different credit card processing systems out there! When a sales rep reached out to me not too long ago offering a new credit card processing system, it actually gave me a reason to reflect on why I love Square processing so much and have no plans on switching up.
Square offers a point of sale system that makes it easy for us to process transactions for customers at the time of service. We have used the square reader when our business was mobile and first starting out. Transitioned to the Square Stand with contactless reader and chip reader options, and now are using the more compact Square Terminal.
Square gives us the ability to invoice customers for larger projects where invoicing is appropriate and also provides a calendar and appointment setting system that our customers have found very easy to use by linking directly to it from our website.
Recently we had a customer inquire about payment options for a large residential job and we were excited to be able to offer them the option of looking in to a Square Installment plan.
On the business end, I feel I should also mention that Square has an option for small business loans based on your transaction history. They are painless to qualify and easy to pay back, another great service for business owners in need of reasonable access to capital.
